    Our Need for a King
    In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes. Judges 21:25 The Book of Judges ends with these sad and sobering words. "Everyone did what was right in his own eyes."  There was no sense of authority in those days, and so the people did whatever they wanted. And even if you haven't read Judges, you can imagine that what they wanted to do was not all that good. Any of this sound vaguely familiar? Doesn't it sound something like the society we live in
